PRODUCTION OF COMMODITY CHEMICALS

Methanol is traditionally obtained from fossil fuels such as natural gas or coal. Using various chemical processes, a synthesis gas is first obtained, from which raw methanol is produced in a catalytic process, and then further processed after purification. Today, biogas, biomass or residual waste is used in a gasification process to produce environmentally friendly "green" methanol. This process releases VOCs and other pollutants. The production of ammonia and other inorganic acids are also emission-intensive processes. These emissions can be sustainably and highly efficiently cleaned from the exhaust air using the catalytic oxidation process ACP.

The pharmaceutical and other industries in particular require clean and scrubbed gases. To produce these, gases such as hydrogen (H2), nitrogen (N2), oxygen (O2) and others are purified on a large scale. The manufacturing process for medicines is subject to strict guidelines and regulations to ensure that the finished product is safe and effective. CHEMICAL SYNTHESIS AND FORMULATION OF PHARMACEUTICALS
